BREAKING NEWS: President Akufo-Addo directs all appointees of statutory boards and corporations to vacate their positions
President Akufo-Addo has issued a directive to all appointees of statutory boards and corporations of his administration in a statement signed by Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Chief of Staff to vacate their positions.
In the statement sighted by Endpointnewsghana, pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845), all persons appointed by the President or a Minister of State as members of statutory boards and corporations ceased to hold the office on 7th January, 2021.
For the avoidance of doubt, representatives of constituents bodies on the statutory boards and corporations are not affected by this directive.
The statutory boards and corporations shall be reconstituted by the President or relevant appointing authority in due course.
To this, the President thank all persons who served as members of statutory boards and corporations and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
